Title 1 Non-Designation Notice

Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s):

In December 2015, the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), the replacement for the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (commonly known as No Child Left Behind) was signed into law. In an effort to ensure parents of student who attend Title I schools are notified on how well their school is preparing its students for college and/or a career, our district mandates all schools inform parents of their College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI score). The comprehensive report card for all schools in Georgia, provides a score between 0 - 100 for each school-measuring how well the school is doing in preparing its students to be successful in college and/or a career. Lee Street’s current CCRPI score is 50.6. You may find more information about the details of our score by visiting the Georgia Department of Education website at  or The Governor’s Office of Student Achievement  click on school reports.

I am very proud to tell you that Lee Street Elementary is a Title I school that is continuing to provide a quality education to all of our students. At Lee Street, we take pride in the teaching we provide for our children. Our teachers and staff members work very hard to meet the needs of all students to ensure they achieve at their highest potential.

An important part of Lee Street’s success is parent participation and support in developing activities to improve student achievement.  We hope that you will become engaged in our school improvement work as we continue to monitor student achievement and set high expectations.  If you are interested in participating in the development of our school improvement plans, being a part of our family engagement team or have questions about how you can better help your child in school, please contact: Marques Strickland, at 770-473-2815 or

Thank you for all that you do to support your child’s education.
